Symbiotics want to give you the best chance of success in your aviation career. In order to help identify your strengths and weaknesses, as well as any other factors which might have an impact on your ability to succeed within the training pipeline, we offer assessment preparation days. These provide you with a report giving insight into traits and skills including your trainability, learning styles, skill potential, personality and motivation. They can also identify areas where it might be beneficial for you to develop or refresh skills to help increase your chances of success.

Our assessment preparation courses are hosted at venues nationwide throughout the UK. The half-day session includes a personality questionnaire, FAST (our unique multi-tasking assessment tool), structured interview preparation guidance and a group task. It closes with a round-up session from one of our trainers who will give you feedback on your performance and guidance on areas you could look to develop. You will leave with a comprehensive and bespoke report of your performance and suitability for the training pipeline.

Please note that our assessment preparation course is appropriate for any flight school and there is no age limit. However, the level of the tests are aimed at age 16 and above, therefore results for younger candidates may not be an entirely accurate representation of suitability.

Why take this course?

Currently the UK government do not fund training for Pilots. The career path for Pilot training is usually self-funded and can cost in the region of between £40,000 - £120,000. We believe that understanding whether an individual is well suited prior to this expenditure is vital.

With this in mind, we are delighted to offer our Assessment Preparation Course which is aligned with what the industry is looking for. This will enable budding Pilots to understand if you have the skills and aptitude to be successful in the training pipeline in order to begin your career as a Pilot.
