This test uses simulation software to assess flying skill using a Rotary Wing aircraft.
This test needs to be run as part of our aviation assessment day.
This test forms part of the Symbiotics Aviation Assessment Day and therefore can't be purchased separately.
If you want to discuss the set-up of your assessment day, or have a conversation around the best options for your business, then get in touch with Symbiotics for an informed chat around the best approach for your organisation.
The candidate completes a practice session, followed by a recorded mission which is debriefed afterwards. It runs from the Black Shark programme installed on a computer and requires a joystick, as well as the ability to listen to audio. Foot pedals are optional. The test takes about 15 minutes to complete.
Symbiotics provide a full report of how the candidate performed and some comments and recommendations around their training potential.

The high cost of full flight simulators makes it impracticable to use them in the assessment of the number of individuals who apply to become helicopter pilots, many of whom do not have the personality traits, knowledge, skills or aptitudes to achieve their ambitions. Within this group there is a high failure rate as many would be pilots, do not have the right personality traits, knowledge, skills or aptitudes to achieve their ambitions. The basic Rotary Wing Situational judgement test has proved itself as a cost effect environment for predicting the potential to succeed of would be pilots.
